After-School Programming
The 21st CCLC is an out-of-school time program (extended learning). The purpose of 21st CCLC is to create school-based community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities as well as additional services designed to complement their regular academic program, such as character education and enrichment. Community learning centers offer families of participating students literacy instruction and related educational development programs. The activities target students and families of students who attend schools eligible for Title I schoolwide programs or schools that serve a high percentage of students from low-income families.
Where Prevention Works
To advocate for policies, practices, and programs to impact youth development and youth engagement, including youth social emotional learning.
To establish and strengthen collaboration among public and private organizations and community influencers to support the efforts of neighborhood-based coalitions working to prevent youth challenges such as substance use, mental health, and violence and promote youth development, engagement, and wellness.
